Hatch and Cedar City General Contractor for New Homes, Additions, Remodels, and Cabin Maintenance
Cedar Breaks Construction is based in Hatch and Cedar City, and builds and remodels homes and commercial spaces across those two towns, St. George, and the surrounding Southern Utah region. Licensed, insured, and local. We show up, we communicate, and we finish what we start.
Full-service general contracting, start to finish
As a full-service general contractor, Cedar Breaks handles the whole job: planning, permits, subs, materials, schedule, and the final walkthrough. One point of contact from the first conversation to the last punch-list item. Here is what we build.
New Home Construction
We build custom homes from the ground up across Southern Utah. We work from your plans or help you get there, then manage the full build: site work, foundation, framing, mechanicals, finishes, and final inspection. You get a clear schedule, a clear budget, and a single contractor accountable for the result.

Out of room? We design and build additions that match your existing home and meet local code: extra bedrooms, a larger kitchen, a second story, an in-law suite, or a garage. We tie the new structure into the old one cleanly so it looks like it was always there.

A general contractor is only as good as their build and their word
Here is what you get with us.
Quality you can stand on.
We build square, level, and to code. We use materials that hold up to Southern Utah weather and we do not cut corners where they do not show.
Local knowledge of Southern Utah.
We know the soil, the climate, the inspectors, and the supply houses from Cedar City to St. George. That keeps your project on schedule and out of surprises.
Clear communication.
You hear from us. You get a real schedule, a real budget, and a heads-up before anything changes. No guessing where your project stands.
Licensed and insured.
We carry a Utah contractor license and full insurance, so your project and your property are covered.
One contractor, start to finish.
You are not chasing five trades. We manage the subs, the permits, and the schedule, and we own the outcome.
We finish.
We work the punch list and stand behind the work after the last payment.
Hatch, Cedar City, and the towns in between
Hatch and Cedar City are our home base, the two towns where we do most of our work. We also serve St. George, plus the surrounding Southern Utah towns including Parowan, Brian Head, Panguitch, and Duck Creek Village. We do a lot of work for cabin owners in the high country around Panguitch Lake, Duck Creek, and Brian Head, including seasonal cabin maintenance alongside our full construction and remodeling services. If you are in the region and not sure whether we cover your address, call (435) 710-8485 and ask. We will tell you straight.

A clear process keeps your project on budget and on schedule
Here is how a job runs with us.
Consult and estimate.
We meet, walk the site or plans, and listen to what you want. Then we put together a clear, itemized estimate. The estimate is free.
Design and plan.
We lock down scope, materials, and selections, pull the permits, and build a realistic schedule. You sign off before we break ground.
Build.
We manage the trades, the materials, and the inspections, and we keep the site clean. You get regular updates and a single point of contact the whole way.
Walkthrough and handoff.
We walk the finished project with you, knock out the punch list, and hand over a build you are proud of. We stand behind the work after we leave.
How to check out a contractor, including us
Hiring a general contractor is a big decision and you should not have to take anyone's word for it. Here is what to ask any builder you are considering, and how we answer.
Ask for license and insurance.
Any general contractor working in Utah should carry a license and current general liability and workers' compensation coverage. Ask us and we will send ours. If a contractor hesitates, that tells you something.
Ask for references.
We would rather you hear it from someone we have built for than read it on our own website. Call (435) 710-8485 and ask who you can talk to.
Ask to see work in progress.
A finished room photographs well. Framing, rough-in, and how clean a site is kept tell you more. Ask to walk an active job before you sign anything.
Get the estimate in writing.
A real estimate breaks out scope, materials, and allowances so you can compare bids honestly. Ours are free, itemized, and carry no obligation to move forward.
Find out who actually runs the job.
On our jobs it is Todd Fowler, the owner. One point of contact for the schedule, the budget, the subs, and the quality of the build.
Ask what happens after the last payment.
We walk the finished project with you, work the punch list, and stand behind the build after we leave. We are reachable Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Ready to build?
Tell us about your project and we will put together a free estimate. New home, addition, remodel, or commercial: we are ready when you are.
